Lesson 1 Enjoyment of Media

Question 5

I don’t know whether you are here because you feel trapped, even addicted to media and are looking for a way to get free, or maybe you are just curious about the good news God gave us and how it relates to media; no matter why you are here, I want to encourage you to continue.
What you will find here is the solution to media addiction; a solution that provides enjoyment, pleasure, acceptance and love or whatever you’ve been looking for in media, and it does so forever!
This specific issue of media addiction is relatively new; however, the issues of overusing something good, or using it to our own detriment have been around since the beginning of time. For this reason, we can find help for our struggles with media in the Scriptures.
One writer expressed his delight at finding the answers he needed from God this way:
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore (Psalm 16:11 ESV).
Let’s talk together about the benefits and dangers of media. But let’s also talk about this “path of life”, the way to have “fullness of joy” (true happiness) and how to find these “eternal pleasures” at God’s right hand.

Question 5. For our final question of the day, please describe why you are here and what you hope to accomplish through studying with us. Thank you.

Rafael writes, “I am here because I know my lifestyle is not according to the Bible when it comes to media addiction. I think I´ll be a better believer, better husband and a better employee when I´ll be free from it. I hope to discover the cure to this addiction here studying with you.”
