Rob, THIS is what makes gospel ministry worth everything, doesn't it? Seeing just one heart set free. One heart lifted up out of condemnation. One heart losing not only its' sin but its' self-righteousness also. One heart justified through faith in the message of the cross. One heart falling out of love with self and into love with Jesus.
Oh Father, thank you for this dear brother who is even now having his heart circumcised, his flesh cut off, his sins nailed to the tree and buried in the tomb. Lord, please bless him with much joy as he rejoices in Jesus' death and in his own death with Jesus and in both of them rising from the dead to live forever together! In Jesus' name, amen.
Rob, I appreciate your ministry in his life, so much!
Oh how I loved watching this! Amen! Adam is so right, the fact that this Great God loved such great sinners by taking our filth and sins onto Himself simply because He loves us and no other reason in us, add such weight and priceless value to what it means when the Bible says "God is love"
There is no power like the power of the cross. Human wisdom tries hard to break the chains, addiction/recovery movements stretch them as far as they can stretch, but only the bloody cross, the death of Jesus, His buriel and removal of our sins, His powerful resurrection from the dead--that alone sets captives free. I love Adam's story, and Lord willing, will see just one more person whose heart is captured at Calvary and set free from sin. Then another. Then one more.
