Hi, Rob:

I am NOT a mentor--in fact, I just finished my last day of the Purity Bootcamp, and awaiting mentor feedback. But I am fishing around in the forums, hoping to find some continued fellowship like what I had with my mentor. It bothered me that nobody had replied to your good post, here; so, I thought I would chime in. I see what Cody means about how looking over and over at the cross seemed foolish at first. I was discouraged at first, to be honest, and was inwardly thinking "Here we go again; more emptiness!" But the more I looked, the more I saw attitudes and motivation BEHIND the actions that King Jesus took on the cross--and also the level of love and compassion that the Father had, which would move Him to plan and direct such a HUGE sacrifice in the first place. The bigger Jesus got, the uglier and more repulsive my sin became! I love what Cody wrote, which you heard from a preacher ("Stare at the glory of God until you see it.") He might wanna call the police, since I am CERTAINLY stealing that! Thanks for sharing this, and know that by doing so, you are no doubt helping many besides myself to CONTINUE a passion for washing at the cross and walking in the Spirit, leading to a victorious war against the flesh!
