Dear friend, don’t miss this important point. Sex between a husband and wife is a physical illustration of a spiritual reality.
Think about it, a husband removes his clothing, enters his wife and, after some physical effort, releases to her that which gives life, pleasure, and satisfaction. Similarly, Christ removed His royal robes of righteousness, stepped down into our nakedness and poured out His very life (Matthew 26:27-28) to bring us into eternal life (John 3:16) and make us full and complete. “For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness” (Colossians 2:9-10). He alone can satisfy our souls now and eternally (Psalm 107:9). In Him are pleasures forevermore (Psalm 16:11)!

Question 2. Have you ever viewed physical intimacy within marriage in this way? Please share.
