FAQ

1. How long do your courses take to complete?

The courses at Setting Captives Free are 30 to 60 days in length. The specific number of days for each course is listed on the “About this Course” page. The lessons of all the courses are designed to be completed one lesson per day. Ideally, you should complete one lesson, meditate on the truths taught, and then return the following day for the next lesson. However, there is no obligation to complete a lesson every day.

2. How do the lessons work?

Each lesson is broken down into steps. You will begin at step one, complete it and then click the button to continue on to the next step. When you submit a step, your answers are saved into your account so if you have to leave and return, you will be able to pick up where you left off on your last visit. You will be able to review your lesson responses in your account at any time.

3. Do I only have 30 days or 60 days to complete my course work?

No, you may work through the course material at the pace that is comfortable to you.

4. Can I do more than one lesson each day?

No, we ask that you complete only one lesson per day. It is important that you take the time to meditate on the content of each lesson and that you consider the feedback from your mentor if you have one. Rushing through the course material will not allow your heart and mind the time it needs to benefit fully.

5. What is a mentor at Setting Captives Free?

All mentors with Setting Captives Free have been through the course that you will be taking, have experienced freedom through the gospel, and are now volunteering their time to help you if you need/want it. Your mentor will receive your lesson submissions, review your answers, and respond to you with feedback. You will receive an email to alert you when you have feedback available, usually within 24 hours.
