Look at verse 14. Notice the Hebrew words:
"Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it [כָּפַר kâphar,] inside and outside with pitch. [כֹּפֶר kôpher] (Genesis 6:14 NKJV)
Are you seeing the Gospel more clearly now? From this verse? Not yet?

Noah was safe and at peace inside the Ark – So we are safe there at the foot of the Cross, hiding in Christ's atonement. As God's judgment was being poured out on Christ – we are safe from the Father's wrath and judgment - being covered by the precious blood of the atonement.
Noah came out of the Ark into a new creation.
9. Have you found safety and peace inside the Ark of atonement? When life gets rough – do you go to the Cross and find peace in the atoning blood of Christ? The blood is not just for salvation.
