Lesson 2 - Love

Question 9

Application: Finding love at the Cross

Love had its perfect expression in the Lord Jesus Christ.
"For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; (15) and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again." (2 Corinthians 5:14-15 NKJV)
This love is wrapped in the Gospel – Paul always made the Gospel the central point in his teachings.
"But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, (5) even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), (6) and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus," (Ephesians 2:4-6 NKJV)
Our sins have been crucified on the Cross through Jesus – we were buried with Him – and made alive by the resurrection. Even now, we are at the right hand of the Father in Christ.
