Lesson 19 Eyes Fixed on Jesus

Question 7

Look at the Cross

Friend, as you look at the cross what you see is that
  1. Jesus has ransomed you from sin and death,
  2. rescued you from the power of darkness,
  3. redeemed you from the curse of the Law,
  4. redeemed you from an empty way of life,
  5. and reconciled you to God the Father.
This is a sight to behold, and one that brings hope and freedom to our hearts.
Consider all that Christ endured securing your freedom. Will you believe and embrace all these things that Jesus has done for you and live in light of this truth? What I mean is, let the sight of the crucified Christ fill you with love, fill you with Holy Spirit power to go on a seek and destroy sin mission. Let it give holy power, fiery passion to put everything to death in your life that put Jesus to death in His.
Please take a minute and watch the following video, noticing additional things that we see, and don't see, when we look at the cross.

Djamila writes:
I have learned that Satan doesn't need to blind me from religion or Christianity as an institution. His goal is to blind me from the gospel so I need to fight to stay at the foot of the cross, beholding what Christ has done for me. I am very moved by how Jesus entered the darkness to rescue me from it. Deuteronomy 28 made me see just what I deserve, I thank God that I am not cursed because Jesus took this on so I can call God "dad" today. Another great lesson!
Shelly writes:
All answers are with the cross. I don't have to look around for answers in research, books, programs or analyzing my past.
In the next lesson, we will study ways to practically apply God’s Word to our life so that we might live in the freedom that Jesus bought for us.
