Galatians 2:20 talks about what happened to you and me: judicially, spiritually and practically… Judicially, this tells us of our standing. I have been crucified with Christ. That is your judicial standing… So at the cross you paid your penalty already in your substitute [Jesus]. Spiritually, this speaks to our inner life. Christ lives in me so the moment you become a believer you begin to experience change because your old corrupt nature was destroyed. And a new life was put in you. Christ in you the hope of glory… Practically, this verse tells us our walk in the world… because the believer is learning to live by faith, and not by sight. Now it is very important to know this. Our faith has an object: The Son of God. Specifically, what He did for us on the cross who loved me and gave himself for me.
