Lesson 19: The Gospel in Childbirth

Question 1

Dear friend, have you seen the gospel in childbirth? Do you see the beauty of scars and marks in both bodies? One, an earthly but amazing encounter for those who have children and who had the opportunity to witness the birth of them. But greater still is the spiritual and everlasting nature of what Jesus has done for us. Oh, can you see Him showing you the wounds, the scars, and marks in His body? We were overwhelmed and overjoyed when our children were born and yet our wives paid the ultimate price, she wears the marks and bears the scars of children just as Jesus wears them and shows us His love to us when He purchased us to be His children.
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” 1 John 3:1-2
You are children of God! Received through His great love lavished on you! Through His blood that saved you! His grace given to you! You know Him and He knows you! Never would we turn our eyes from looking at the wounds of Jesus where His love was lavished on us! And never should we turn our eyes away from the wounds on our wives bodies that paid the price and bears the marks of the gift given!
“So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” John 20:25
You have seen the scars and marks and have believed! You have received adoption into God’s family! (Ephesians 1:5; Galatians 4:5) You were given  a new heart because Jesus’ was pierced. You were given a new spirit because Jesus gave up His spirit on the cross and put His Spirit in you after rising from the dead! Look and remember the scars and marks on their bodies as the price they paid for the gift they gave!
Celebrate the scars and marks on their bodies!!!
