Lesson 2 Fullness of Joy, and Eternal Pleasures

Question 1

Dear friend, so good to see you back today, and I look forward to today’s study with you.
In the previous lesson, we talked about the fact that media can be good and helpful, or detrimental and destructive, depending upon how we use it. You answered some questions about why you were here, shared some of the good ways you use media, as well as some of your struggles with it.
It’s important to understand that at Setting Captives Free we are not against media. Of course, you know that, as you are here studying with us in an online format, interacting with an online mentor, and using the Internet to do so. We think highly of media around here and try to use it as much as we can for good.
But difficulties happen if we get addicted to it, or if we use it wrongly and thereby harm ourselves or others. The question comes then, how do we know if we are addicted to media; either in general, or to a specific type (Facebook, YouTube, gaming, etc.). How do we know if we’re using it wrongly?

Question 1. How would you answer that question? How do we know if we are addicted to media, or if we are using it wrongly?
