Friend, let the reality of the cross sink into your heart. Let it reach the deepest place in you. Let the power of Jesus’ love wrap around your heart by simple faith--believing the message of the cross. And let the power of Jesus’ resurrection lift you out of your pit of sin, even as God lifted Jonah out of the watery depths, even as He raised Jesus from the dead. We have a God who loves to lift us out of our pits, friends. He did it with Jonah, He did it with Jesus, and He does it with all who put faith in the message of the cross and receive forgiveness of their sins.

“Jesus despite my unworthiness, You died for my sins, You raised me with You and gave me Your righteousness--now I have worth--worth in Christ. Thank you, Jesus.”
