Lesson 39 Washing at the Cross: How to Become Clean
Question 5
This story is God’s way of showing you that not only has your sin been removed, but you are clothed in the righteousness of Christ, Himself. You are now dressed in “fine clothes” with a “clean turban”; you are wearing the garments of salvation, the holy clothing of Christ Himself! At the cross, God changed your clothes, dear friend. You are clean!
You need to see that you have no sin on you and that you are clothed in the righteousness of Jesus. This is the new you, your new identity. You are wearing the clothing of holiness and righteousness. You should have no consciousness of sin (Hebrews 10:1-2) only awareness of the cross which has made you clean!
Please take a moment and watch this change happen!
So here’s Joshua standing before the Lord with Satan at his right side accusing him. But he’s had his filthy clothes removed and is now dressed in holy garments. Did you notice what Satan had to say about all this?
Question 5. What did Satan say after this change of clothes?
