Lesson 56 Washing, Walking, Warring, and Worshipping

Question 7

The other aspect of this woman’s encounter with Jesus is that He presented Himself to her as the one who would satisfy her eternally; that if she drank the water He gave her, she would “never thirst” again.
And so we must learn and apply this truth also. If we come to Jesus and learn how to drink from Him, He will meet all our needs and satisfy the deep desires of our heart. “…whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again.”
If we turn to Jesus we will discover that our thirst is quenched, our desires are met in Jesus, and we finally have real and eternal satisfaction: “…whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again.
If we learn how to drink from the Lord Jesus Christ, we will find true heart satisfaction. “…whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again.
In the next lesson, we will see that this “water” that Jesus gives is the Holy Spirit. All people will thirst, will yearn and crave and lust until the Spirit of God enters them, for He is what all people are genuinely craving and thirsting for. And when He comes, we worship!
