Oh, friend, Jesus took your punishment so that you could be at peace with God! In other words, since God has already punished Jesus for your sin, he does not need to punish you. God does not punish twice; first Jesus, then you. No, He punished Jesus and you now have peace with God! Jesus died to restore fellowship between you and God the Father!
"Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people" (Hebrews 9:28 NIV). "He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world" (1 John 2:2 NIV).
Through His death and resurrection, Jesus covered you and made you fit for His presence. You can see Jesus doing this at the cross, taking your sin and giving you His robe of righteousness. Wash in this truth, friend. Let it run over you like clean water. And as you wash at the cross, be reminded that this cleansing is to enable you to have wonderful fellowship with the living God!

Samuel writes, "I am amazed as I think and meditate on what Jesus has done. He died for the rebellion of mankind. All my sins, past present and future, He died for. And only when I put my faith and trust in what He has done I can be forgiven and my peace with God restored that I may enjoy fellowship with Him. My efforts cannot clothe me, He alone can clothe me and make me fit for fellowship with God. He suffered that I may not suffer, He died that I may not die. He is the Lamb of God that takes away all my sin."
Olumide writes, "Jesus died on the cross so that I can be restored back into fellowship with God. This means I can talk to God in prayer without being afraid to approach Him, I can listen to God talk to me as I read His word. I can be confident that God is with me where ever I go. I can trust that He will fulfil His promises because I am back into fellowship with Him."
Finally, watch Doug's testimony of 40 years of bondage, to now having found freedom at the cross.
Ivan writes, "New heart, new spirit, new motives. Not perfect. Giving hope to many.
The power of the cross sets us free. No condemnation. The bible has come alive.
The cross is the only solution, nothing else works. Looking at the cross."
Olumide writes, "Doug's testimony is really inspiring. I have been in bondage to porn, lust, and masturbation for over 44 years and it is only now I am seeing the light of freedom and how the cross is the answer to all my struggles for freedom. I totally agree that looking at the cross compels me to walk by the Spirit and war against my flesh."
