Lesson 18 Washing at the Cross--Seeing Jesus
Question 3
We studied in the previous lesson about how we can become “nearsighted and blind” (2 Peter 1:9), turning inward and focusing on our problem, on the “wound,” on our emotions, etc. And in this condition, our Christian life comes to a screeching halt, and we become ineffective and unproductive. The solution is to turn to the cross of Christ and look!
And now, we will discuss the importance of what we see when we look at the cross of Jesus. After all, this is how God heals us and frees us; it is essential. Let’s spend some time looking at the cross today, and as we do, I believe we will say together:
"The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes." Psalms 118:22-23 (NIV)
Question 3. In Psalm 118:22-23 NIV, the psalmist has seen something marvelous, what has he seen?
The amazing gospel of Jesus Christ was "marvelous" in his eyes. Let's look at the cross together and see if God would make it marvelous in our eyes too.
