Lesson 4: Washing at the cross: United with Christ in His Resurrection
Questions 5 and 6
Yes, this resurrection power is “for us who believe.” As you see this powerful resurrection that you were a part of, you now know that you have been raised from fleshly living! Believe it! You have been raised from gluttony and lifted out of the tomb of laziness. Believe it! The old you died, and the new you has risen! Believe it!
Let this new you live! Let this experience of new life permeate every area of your life! We no longer live to gratify our flesh now; we’ve been raised from that grave! Do you see the power of this truth?
If you believe what God says about you, that your old life of bondage to the flesh died and you were raised to a new life in the Spirit, it will change your facts! You will stop responding to the temptations to indulge your flesh, and instead, live a new life! You have been raised! You now eat to the glory of God, not to the pampering of your flesh, for you have a new life in Christ!
We can now live in the plan that God gives us daily, being empowered by the Spirit to die to the flesh and walk by the Spirit. “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit” (Galatians 5:25 NIV).

Sue is hungry for the Lord and is eager to see Jesus: "1 Corinthians 10:2 explained how Moses and the Israelites were baptized into the Red Sea, but then they came out of the sea to the other side. Then they were able to drink from the spiritual Rock, which was Jesus. It depicts a resurrection into a new life. I see the picture. So much Old Testament is a picture of Christ, and I love discovering them!"
