Lesson 15: The Cross Removes the Curse
Questions 1 and 2
I will sing of my Redeemer,
And His wondrous love to me;
On the cruel cross He suffered,
From the curse to set me free.

My friend, do you realize that we were born cursed? What an awful thing to think about, but what a solemn truth it is. The curse with which we were born is an inherited curse; it comes from our first parents, Adam and Eve. All their children inherited this curse, as did creation itself. The curse is alienation and separation from God, as we will see later in this chapter. How do we know that Adam and Eve brought a curse to all humanity and all of creation?
“For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, "Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them." Galatians 3:10
Question 1. What does Galatians 3:10 say is the result for all who do not continue to do all that is in the law?

Adam and Eve did not continue to do everything God commanded them, but instead, they sinned against Him, perverted their way, and turned to their own devices. Because of their failure to "continue to do" all that God commanded, they came under the curse of God, and not only them but the entire earth and all their posterity, and they were banished from the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:23).
About the creation, Romans 8:22 says this:
“For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.” Romans 8:22
Question 2. What is the cause of this "groaning" of all creation?
