Lesson 6: The Gospel is from God Alone

Question 1

Marco Polo of Mike’s teaching: Monday 8th February 2021
“I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin.” Galatians 1:11 NIV
“Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.” Genesis 11:4 NIV
From the teaching today: Man’s gospel would be us in poverty, working hard to change our lives so we could be rewarded with a few pennies from God for our effort. God’s gospel is about Jesus becoming poor and impoverished for us to deposit a million dollars into our account: the full righteousness of God being credited to us as a gift.

Question 1. Question 1: Is the gospel you believe from God or from man? How do you know?

My Worth Is Not In What I Own By Keith & Kristyn Getty “My worth is not in what I own Not in the strength of flesh and bone But in the costly wounds of love At the cross My worth is not in skill or name In win or lose, in pride or shame But in the blood of Christ that flowed At the cross I rejoice in my redeemer Greatest treasure Wellspring of my soul And I will trust in him, no other My soul is satisfied in him alone... I will not boast in wealth or might Or human wisdom's fleeting light But I will boast in knowing Christ At the cross... Two wonders here that I confess My worth and my unworthiness My value fixed, my ransom paid At the cross…”
