Jesus Hears Me
Day 6 - Reflect on how God hears our prayer.
This morning as I sat and prayed, I heard my Savior calling me to come close and sit with Him. Psalm 34:4 came to mind. It assures me that when I seek my Savior, He will answer and deliver me from all my fears.
So to the cross, I came. I listened quietly. His still, small voice entered my soul. I heard Him say to me. Call to me, pray to me, seek me first with your whole heart. He promises to listen to me and that I will find Him. (Jeremiah 29:12-14)
I pondered upon these verses asking what does this mean for me today? Into my mind came these words from a wonderful hymn.
“Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of his glory and grace”
He invites me to come and be in His royal presence. For my King, who died to save me, hears my thoughts and prayers. Such assurance He gives me. He hears me when I call to Him. He loves me and delivers me from all that comes at me. So to Him, I come today in love and gratefulness. For the Perfect Lamb of God, my Lord hears me when I pray.
