Seeing Jesus Coming Again

Day 5 - Think about Jesus returning

This morning as I was reading 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18, verse 16 really captured my attention. The verse says: “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.” I thought about this and was really focused on seeing Jesus coming again and how glorious that will be. These thoughts prompted the following response that I want to share with others. I hope you find hope, joy, and encouragement in this poem.

Look up, O people, and behold
The coming of our Lord
See Him in the clouds
Hark the trumpet sound

His glory displayed clearly
All will know who He is
The Sacrificed Lamb of God
In Victory claiming His own

For He died and rose for us
Defeating sin and death
He comes to earth to gather
All who are in Him

Hear His cry of command
As He comes from heaven above
The Lamb of God is He
The King of all eternity
