Causing me to question my sanity
For in this dream I was floating above
The corpse of my earthy body
There I laid dead and cold
For my skin was blue in color
Confusion entered my mind
Because the corpse looked so real.
Yet as I looked down and saw myself
For it knew I had not died in my sleep
And wanted to return to reality
Frozen was I in this nightmare
That dream wanted me to contemplate
What future there was for me in death
Finally, I was able to shake that dream
My mind rested once again
But that dream has lingered in my soul
So now I sit and contemplate
Frightened by it I am not
For I already know my eternal destination
For in His son I have believed
Forever I will be with Him
So now I can dismiss this nightmare
Death does not frighten me
For my eternal life is guaranteed
