Choices in Life!

My name is Gail Schmidt. I am a volunteer for Setting Captives Free. This course contains writings of mine that focus on Jesus and His marvelous work on the cross. The purpose of this course is to point you to Jesus and invite you to consider all that He has done for you through His death on the cross and His resurrection.

I have been a believer in Jesus as my Lord and Savior for most of my life. I felt imprisoned by the world's ways to lose weight, so I asked God to lead me to a Faith-Based Weight Loss program. He brought me to Setting Captives Free. I have taken several courses here and have been set free from my prison by coming to the cross daily and washing in the fountain of life-giving blood from my Savior, walking by the Spirit, and warring against my flesh.

I have written poetry for almost 20 years and started writing blogs in the last few months. I pray that these writings point you to Jesus and help you consider who He is and what He has done for you. My purpose in writing is to bring God all the glory He is due.
