Lesson 17. The Gospel: the Message that Addicts Us to Ministry
Day 4
Paul’s concluding words to the Corinthians are:
The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Priscilla greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house. All the brothers and sisters here send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss. I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand. If anyone does not love the Lord, let that person be cursed! Come, Lord! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. My love to all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen
1 Corinthians 16:19-24
Question 1. Amidst all the greetings and salutations, Paul issues a severe warning. About what does he warn the Corinthians?

A warning is incorporated into Paul's final greetings. This is a grave warning that shows the necessity of not only believing in Jesus but also letting the cross of Christ work in you so deeply that you love the Lord back, as He loved you first.
This is how we, as Christians, are to live and grow in the gospel: by contemplating the cross of love over and over again, seeing Christ's blood atoning for your sin, and seeing His suffering in His body and soul for you, so that it melts our hearts and transforms us. Jesus' broken body can break the hardest heart, and His blood poured out can cause us to pour out our lives in service to Him.
Throughout this study, we have seen, through Paul's instructions to the Corinthians and his own example of living and growing in the gospel, what it is like to live a gospel-centered life. Like the Corinthians, we may have problems in our personal lives, our relationships, and our churches, but the grace of the Lord and the fellowship of his people are available to anyone who puts faith in Christ's death on the cross for our sins and His powerful resurrection!
Question 2. Have you been learning how to live and grow in the gospel as you studied this book? What has your experience been like? Please share:
