If you're rich towards God you will become a giver, not simply storing up treasures for yourselves here on earth by tearing down barns and building new ones like the rich fool, but by being a giver and storing up treasures in heaven. In other words, using your wealth wisely for the expanding of the gospel message and the transformation of hearts and lives. To be rich towards God just as He was rich toward us when He sent Jesus who gave up everything while to die on a cross for us.
“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” Ephesians 2:4-5
Many say that Solomon was the richest man who ever lived, but Jesus said, “someone greater than Solomon is here”? (Matthew 12:42). Jesus is the One who created all things,  in whom all things hold together and the owner and creator of heaven and earth (Colossians 1:16-17). He is the owner of all that is eternal which is of far greater value than all the riches that have ever been seen on earth which will fade away (1 John 2:17).
“Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment” (1 Timothy 6:17).
