Dear friend, welcome back to your course. 
Today, we are going to consider the truth that we have been rescued from darkness to live in the light along with practical suggestions as to what this means.
Colossians 1:12-14 (NIV) and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. 13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Question 1. According to Colossians 1:12, for what are you to give joyful thanks to the Father?
God has qualified me to share in the inheritance of all believers.
God has shown me His love.
God has promised to give me eternal life.

Just think of this: God has qualified you to share in the inheritance that all believers receive. At the cross, God made Jesus liable for your debt and simultaneously qualified you for an eternal inheritance. So Jesus paid your debt of sin, and you get the inheritance of a son.
Question 2. According to Colossians 1:13, how did God qualify you for your eternal inheritance?
God decided to overlook my sin and let me into heaven.
God rescued me from the power of darkness and brought me into the kingdom of Jesus Christ.
God is love and gives all people a wonderful inheritance.
