As we consider the three foundational principles of freedom, we remember that “washing at the cross” is first, as it enables us to walk by the Spirit and war against our flesh.
Today, we are going to see how washing at the cross leads us to worship Jesus.
When we are involved in pornography, self-gratification, or any form of sexual impurity we are idolaters (Colossians 3:5), worshiping at the altar of false gods, trusting something to provide us happiness and life other than God.
But Jesus came to cleanse us at the cross, and destroy idolatry in our lives and bring about true worship:
Zechariah 13:1-2 ESV “On that day there shall be a fountain opened for the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and uncleanness. (2) “And on that day, declares the LORD of hosts, I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, so that they shall be remembered no more. And also I will remove from the land the prophets and the spirit of uncleanness.

Question 2. According to Zechariah 13:1-2, what things would happen on “that day”?
