The King believed God’s Word that they would be victorious, so he sent the praise team ahead of the soldiers. This worship of the Lord began before they even saw the enemy. “God dwells in the praises of His people” (Psalm 22:3). Jehoshaphat fully believed God and acted on his faith.
Friend, after your time first thing in the morning, as you look to the Lord in His Word, receive from Him and fellowship with Him and believe what He communicates to you, you should begin praising God before you ever get to the battle. “As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes” (2 Chronicles 20:22).
This is what I mean that God can supernaturally win our battles for us as we look to Him. He has the whole world as His resource, and we should have faith in His Word that He will win our battle for us. After all, He gave us His only Son to destroy our sin, won’t He also give us all things to help us win?
Notice how God makes the cross the assurance that He is for us, and that He will utilize every resource for our victory:
Romans 8:31-32 (NIV) What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

This is why we can praise God before we ever get to the battle. He gave His Son for us, sacrificed Him on a cross, and therefore if He gave us the greatest, He wouldn’t withhold the rest. He has resources to help you win every battle you fight. You just need to look to Him in His Word and ask Him.
And here was the outcome of the battle:
2 Chronicles 20:24-25 (NIV) When the men of Judah came to the place that overlooks the desert and looked toward the vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; no one had escaped. 25 So Jehoshaphat and his men went to carry off their plunder, and they found among them a great amount of equipment and clothing and also articles of value—more than they could take away. There was so much plunder that it took three days to collect it.
So we can see the order here: King Jehoshaphat looked to the Lord for victory over a vast army, the Lord gave specific instructions, the King believed and acted on them, praising the Lord before he even saw the enemy, and the King had a great plunder of victory over his enemies.
Question 6. How is your battle plan going? Is it effective, or do you need to reexamine and make changes?

Brad writes, "So far it is going better than I could have imagined. I know I will have to make adjustments as life goes on. As long as I seek the Lord for a battle plan and follow through with his instructions, He will deliver me from my enemies."
