What a privilege we are given to live to please the Lord.  Because He first loved us, we love Him in return.  It is our love for the Lord that motivates us to want to please Him.  And even that love, He gives it to us in our hearts by giving us the Holy Spirit. The more we view the Cross and consider the love that it displays, the more we realize how much we are loved and in turn, love the Lord.
