Lesson 28 Walking by the Spirit Review

Questions 1 and 2

Greetings, friend, welcome back! Today's is the last lesson in this course on Walking by the Spirit. I hope you are seeing the absolute necessity of doing this; for we either walk by the Spirit or live in the flesh. The Spirit of God has been given to us to take us by the hand and lead us away from fleshly living and walk us directly to our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Today, I have a beautiful illustration of this biblical truth. Before looking at it though, let's review the specific work of the Spirit, as told us by Jesus in John chapters 14-16:
“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” John 14:26 (NIV)

The Holy Spirit is sent by the Father in Jesus' name to be our Advocate. Our defense lawyer. The one who is on our side. He is the one who comes alongside us and helps us in our weakness, prays for us when we tempted, comforts us when troubled or discouraged, and lives in us and walks with us all through our lives. Though He has no name, just "the Holy Spirit," yet He is very personal to each believer, as He is Jesus Christ in us.
"When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me." John 15:26 (NIV)

Question 2. What is the role of the Holy Spirit, according to John 15:26 NIV?
