Lesson 3 Washing at the Cross: United with Christ in His Death

Testimony and Question 7

Lolly writes, "Wow, there have been so many changes in my life over the last 60 plus days. I have done intermittent fasting. Some days 1 meal was plenty. There has been an amazing freedom not having to think about what to eat or remembering to grab something to eat before I go somewhere. Washing at the cross daily has been life-changing. In my past, I have been terrorized by dreams and thoughts from my years in addiction to alcohol, but now I am washed clean of that. Satan still attempts to drag me back into old thinking, but I just go to the cross and wash it away. I have been made aware of my sin of discontent. In the past, I wasted so much energy and time thinking unproductive and discontented thoughts. Now I go to the cross and wash that away as well. Without my time focused on food and eating, I have time to enjoy relationships. I’m way more relaxed with my grandchildren. We are on their timetable not mine. I have lost weight. I had not been one to weigh myself at home because no matter what the number was it was never good enough. I just know I have lost weight. My clothes are big on me which is all I need to know. Another area that has changed for me is my judgmental attitude toward those who won’t work, and instead depend on the food pantry and free meal sites. Now I remember that I once was one of them and JESUS LOVED ME AND DIED for me when I was in my sin. So I will love them too. I am here to serve. Now I have the power to serve without judgement and resentment. I definitely recommend this course to anyone looking for weight loss. But it is so much more. The principles of washing, walking, and warring are the key to success."
