Valerie's comments clarified the video above:
"Viewing Christ from a worldly point of view means that we don't want to look at the cross because we don't want to look at our sin. Jesus was on this Earth but lived a perfect life. Viewing him by the power of a spirit we are reconciled to him and redeemed at the cross. We no longer have to look at our sin because Jesus died on the cross for our sins."
By now, we understand that to war effectively against our flesh; we need to receive a daily plan from God for how to eat and exercise. I seek the Lord at night for a plan on how to live my life the next day.
In this lesson, my goal is to offer some guidance on how to receive your plan from God for how to eat, exercise, etc. for each day.
Please read the following passage:
"If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask [for wisdom] in faith, without doubting [God's willingness to help], for the one who doubts is like a billowing surge of the sea that is blown about and tossed by the wind. 7 For such a person ought not to think or expect that he will receive anything [at all] from the Lord, 8 being a double-minded man, unstable and restless in all his ways [in everything he thinks, feels, or decides]” (James 1:5-8 AMP).
Question 2. If we lack wisdom, what are we supposed to do to get it?
The Amplified translation helps us understand that if we lack the wisdom we need to guide us through a decision or circumstance, we should ask God. The implication is that we should ask God for wisdom for everything we do in life because we always need help with decisions. Life is challenging; we require wisdom to know how to walk in a way that is worthy of the gospel (Colossians 1:10, Philippians 1:27).
Scripture is unambiguous on what we are to do to gain wisdom; we ask God. He wants to lead us and He has proven that He is ready and willing to give us what we need. "He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?" Romans 8:32
Question 3. What is the one necessary element mentioned in James 1:6-8 AMP about asking God for wisdom?
