Lesson 4 – Peace

Question 3

3. Peace comes with the right application of the Gospel within the church.

Notice how often Paul speaks about the importance of peace within the body of Christ – the church.
“endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (4) There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; (5) one Lord, one faith, one baptism; (6) one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. (7) But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.” (Ephesians 4:3-7 NKJV)
“For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.” (1 Corinthians 14:33 NKJV)
“Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.” (Romans 15:33 NKJV)
“Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.” (2 Thessalonians 3:16 NKJV)
“Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen." Hebrews 13:20-21 (NKJV)
There ought to be peace in the church at all times.
