It is by faith – we walk away from our sinful fleshly desires and walk in the Spirit. How? We come by faith to the Cross to be washed in the blood (1 John 1:7), we continue by faith to walk in the Spirit with the Cross always in view (Galatians 2:20, 5:24), and by faith, we war against our sinful flesh, by applying and working out the fruit of the Spirit in our lives. As we walk in faith – we will be showing the quality of faithfulness in our lives. (Galatians 5:16-18)
