Day 7. First Principle of Freedom

Questions 3

Do you understand that all of your sin (past, present, and future) has been fully removed at the cross? And do you know that your guilt was buried with Jesus Christ in the grave? It is true! Jesus took your sins and guilt and owned them as His, and He died for you. Then He rose again on the third day. This means that you are free when you believe!
And consider this good news: if your guilt is removed, the “undertow” that once drew you back into sin is eliminated! There’s nothing pulling you back out into the ocean of sin! Friend, this is the first principle of freedom: washing at the cross daily. You won't believe how clean, pure, and free you feel until you get into the habit of doing it repeatedly. Come to the cross and look up! Be clean!

Question 3. This is a new habit for most of us. Is there anything preventing you from coming to wash at the cross of Jesus Christ? Please share:

“I was such a captive to destructive eating habits, what the world calls anorexia and bulimia. I didn't even see it before, but I was trying to purge and cleanse myself of all the rottenness inside me. Now I’ve been coming to the cross, seeing Jesus dying for me, and believing in my heart that He is cleansing me of sin. This is amazing and makes me cry, but somehow they feel like tears of sorrow and joy mixed together." Janice
