Day 13. Third Principle of Freedom

Question 2

In any battle, preparedness is crucial for victory. In this spiritual battle, we must take it seriously and be well-prepared. In this course, I will share specific strategies I've used to overcome powerful and cunning enemies. I also want to learn from you and hear about the ways you fight the good fight. Together, we can learn and grow.
Now let's reflect on King David and his struggle with adultery. Remember how he was on his roof, observing his neighbor below? But have you ever wondered how it all began? Let's delve into the root cause together:
“In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king's men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem. One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof, he saw a woman bathing.”
2 Samuel 11:1-2

Question 2. What time was it when David had this fall to sexual immorality?

During the time when kings typically went to war, David chose to stay back and ended up lusting after another man's wife while walking on his roof. God is warning us about a specific danger here.
My friend, we often stumble because we're too comfortable and relaxed when we should be actively engaged in the battle. Instead of fighting, we find ourselves in a state of complacency.
Remember, you are a soldier, and soldiers are meant to fight. Rest will come, but as long as you're alive, it's time to rise, put on your armor, stand firm, and engage in the fight.
In the next few days, we’ll learn how to fight God’s way!
