A grapevine in front of me
The vine had three branches
It began to bud and blossom
It produced clusters of ripe grapes
I was holding Pharaoh's wine cup in my hand
I took a cluster of grapes and squeezed the juice into the cup
I placed the cup in Pharaoh's hand
Jesus is The Grapevine in front of you with the three branches "that began to bud and blossom, and soon it produced clusters of ripe grapes." In the prime of His life and ministry, Jesus' life would be cut short as He would go to the cross and hang like grapes hanging from their vines. "So, I took a cluster of grapes and squeezed the juice into the cup." Can you see Him now, that this Grapevine that budded in the prime of His life was squeezed and crushed in the winepress of God's wrath then poured out like wine for you?
”I have trodden the winepress alone, and from the peoples no one was with me; I trod them in my anger and trampled them in my wrath; their lifeblood spattered on my garments, and stained all my apparel.” (Isaiah 63:3)
Oh, friend, Jesus would go to the cross, be imprisoned there, nailed to a tree like a criminal so we could be set free like the chief cup-bearer who was released from prison and restored to his position on the third day. Jesus would rise from the dead on the third day, restore us to the Father through His shed blood, as He was restored to the right hand of the Father. Now pleading on our behalf with His wounds. The same wounds used to heal and cleanse you are the same wounds that keep and protect you.
The Cup I will not drink again until...
"Mark my words—I will not drink wine again until the day I drink it new with you in my Father's Kingdom." 30 Then they sang a hymn and went out to the Mount of Olives." Matthew 26:29-30 (NLT)
Here Jesus connects His death with the culmination of all things with the marriage supper of the Lamb. In communion, we look back, and our hearts hurt to see the suffering of Christ on the cross in our place, but we also look forward, and our hearts are made whole at the contemplation of our being with our Bridegroom face to face. He died for us; He rose for us! He is now interceding for us and preparing a place for us. And one glorious day, we will gather with Him to drink the cup with Him.

Miles writes, "Amazing grace! How Jesus took my punishment my cup of suffering and my death so I could be set free and live for Him and with Him in all eternity."
Peter writes, "I am so overwhelmed with thanksgiving for this material and the great wisdom God has given your ministry to take the Word of God and carefully extract the glory of the cross from these shared passages. Truly Christ is in every letter, word, sentence and paragraph within His holy Word for He is the Word become flesh. Hallelujah!"
