Lesson 6 Anyone Who is Thirsty Come to Me and Drink
Question 1
Hello again, and welcome back to Setting Captives Free, so great to have you with us today!
In the past few lessons, we’ve been reviewing a story; it’s a story about a woman who was getting water at a well where Jesus was resting. They had a discussion about thirst and water, which was really a discussion about her lifestyle of continually “thirsting” for one relationship after another. Jesus told her that if she would ask Him, He would give her “living water” which would quench her thirst forever.
We are applying this story to our own lives. Like the woman at the well we have been “thirsty.” This “thirst” has shown up in addiction to media in some form. We have turned to gaming, YouTube, social media or any number of other things again and again; we keep coming back for more and this is because we are looking for something in media that media is not designed to provide. It doesn’t satisfy us.
In the last lesson we applied Jesus statement to ourselves when He said, “…you would have asked Him and He would have given you living water” (John 4:10).
Question 1. Did you pray and ask Jesus for this living water? If so, why or why not?
